Kathmandu: Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said the government is positive to take the services of chartered accountants in tax administration.

Minister Mahat shared this while addressing the 27th anniversary of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal and the sixth convocation ceremony. 'Good governance is guaranteed if chartered accountants carry out their responsibilities honestly while fulfilling professional duties,' Minister Mahat asserted.

The Finance Minister mentioned, 'Many things would be resolved after accounting and chartered accountants are up to the mark. There is a need to resolve serious types of problems based on their priority after categorizing the arrears. Chartered Accountants should be brought into our tax administration.'
