One dies in road accident

Kathmandu: One person has died in a road accident in Chowki tole of Hetauda sub-metropolitan city-2.

Amit Kapadia, 25 years old resident of Hetauda-1 Jaruwatol, who was pillion riding a scooter, was hit by a tipper truck (Ba. Pra. 03-001B 851) coming from the opposite direction.

Seriously injured, Kapadia died during treatment at the hospital, District Police Office Makwanpur, Police Inspector Ramchandra Ghimire said. The person riding the scooter sustained minor injuries and returned home after treatment.

Meanwhile, the tipper driver has been detained by the police for necessary investigation.
